FAQs

ISC is the Indian School Certificate and an extension of the ISCE. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination awards this certificate to Council affiliated schools. The Indian School Certificate following the ISC syllabus has international value. The ISC exam is the most systematic and disciplined in the country, even in the case of conducting exams and declaring the results. The difficulty level of the subjects is equally distributed so that students won’t feel pressurized as they move to higher classes. The syllabus has been reformed to match the level of CBSE and other competitive exams.

The ISC offers five subjects instead of 6 with HSC. The class size is 30 in a class for compulsory subjects, while HSC has class strengths upwards of 125 per class. ISC is a safe and controlled school environment that monitors attendance and performance, and the teachers are qualified specialists. The program includes overall development through sports, clubs and extracurricular activities. In addition, G.D. Somani has specially designed courses beyond the ISC program to develop 21st-century skills.

Our program includes a special Entrepreneurship module that champions and emphasises the entrepreneurial spirit so unique to India. Students will be introduced to startup culture through sessions with industry experts through online and in-person classes. We aim to give our students the headstart they need for their future in the 21st century. This module is included in the ISC tuition fee and there are no extra charges.

Students can participate in Yoga, Clubs and PE activities. They will also have access to our sports facilities twice a week and for a few hours on the weekend. Facilities are only open to registered students of G.D. Somani Memorial School.
