G.D. Somani Memorial School opened its doors in 1975 to 250 students under the SSC system of education of the Maharashtra State Board. The school is the brainchild of well-known industrialists and philanthropists, B. D. Somani and G.D. Somani, renowned for their contributions to education in India.
Today, G. D. Somani is a co-educational institution with 1400 students and offers the ICSE system of education. Our first batch of 119 ICSE students graduated in 2006 – 17 students scored 90% and above, 84 secured distinctions, while 35 received First Class.
