G.D. Somani Memorial School opened its doors in 1975 to 250 students under the SSC system of education of the Maharashtra State Board. The school is the brainchild of well-known industrialists and philanthropists, B. D. Somani and G.D. Somani, renowned for their contributions to education in India.

Today, G. D. Somani is a co-educational institution with 1400 students and offers the ICSE system of education. Our first batch of 119 ICSE students graduated in 2006 – 17 students scored 90% and above, 84 secured distinctions, while 35 received First Class.

The school endeavours to inculcate the right values in students and help them to build their character to face the challenges of the future.
